Title: Anyone running a Jerr-dan HPL35 wrecker body on their 3500HD?
Post by: SlowBoat on January 19, 2017, 09:03:37 PM
I've traded around for a boom assy and the wheel lift from a 94 Jerr-dan HPL35 wrecker assy.  No bed, no subframe assy.  I'm needing some photos and measurements.  Hoping some of you guys might be able to assist.

This one is the 8 ton boom with dual 8K ramsey winches, an 808D.

I mainly need measurements for the subframe that these items bolt to, the subframe that mounts to the 3500HD's frame.  Sort of important for the wheel lift mounting part to get the geometry correct.

Thanks,
John

John, I don't know anybody with an HPL-35; everyone I hang around with has selfloaders :D but you could try calling Curtis Sanchez over at Coker, 800-878-4144.  I don't know if they handle JerrDan or not, but he seems to be a great resource for parts for all kinds of wrecker units, so he'll almost surely have parts diagrams, upfitter instructions, stuff like that and could maybe fax or email them to you.  Also be able to supply any miscellaneous items you'd need to get it into shape and working.

We've got a JerrDan dealer here in town but I'm not impressed with them at all and very glad that after a few JD selfloaders we've gone back to Vulcan.
