Title: 1997 3500HD 7.4/auto Dallas TX $1000

No bed, has rails for probably flatbed, guess it would have had a water tank etc. as the doors are lettered "mobile wash"

A little beat up but not bad from pics, says rebuilt engine, bad transmission.   Lot of potential for only $1K!

Was the 3500HD ever offered with those dual headlights?

You mean the Silverado grille?  Probably more than a few, especially in the later years.  My 1995 had power windows/locks, cruise, tilt, and the Silverado grille - all original options according to the RPO codes.

Some RPO codes from my 1995 3500HD which was a 7.4/NV4500 truck:
V22   GRILLE,RADIATOR(CHROME) CHROME GRL(V22)
AU3   LOCK,SIDE DOOR,ELECTRIC ELEC S/D LK(AU3)
A31   WINDOW,ELECTRIC OPERATED,SIDE ELEC SI WDO(A31)
K34   CRUISE CONTROL,AUTOMATIC,ELECTRONIC CRCONT(K34)
N33   STEERING COLUMN,TILT TYPE TILT STRG COL(N33)

Anything could have been changed out as I bought the truck at 200K miles, but the RPO codes tell the story.

Didn't realize that...guess you also had MT8 for the tranny.

MW3 for the NV4500 from 1995-up, has the 5.61:1 1st/reverse like the Dodge versions.

MT8 was 1992-1994 with the old design, 6.34:1 1st/reverse.

Just occurred to me, while thinking about the differences the RPO's indicate.  Ya know, someone's really going to be scratching their head years from now when they work on my old 1994 3500HD and find a Vortec 7.4 in there instead of a 6.5td, a "new style" NV4500 with the integral slave cylinder and bellhousing to match, but the 6.34:1 old gearset stuck in there.  I like to think in many ways that truck got the best combination of parts that it possibly could have ended up with, considering what it started life as. :)
