Title: Anyone have a rollback for sale? (upstate NY area)
Post by: ED-NY on August 09, 2018, 03:27:34 PM
Looking for a 92-95 year range roll-back GM/Chevy 3500/3500HD truck, prefer gas and manual trans.

Sure you don't want one from the South? Rust and corrosion goes after the beds too.

Any reason no 1991, guessing due to no NV4500

Also consider most rollbacks on these trucks were 17' bed due to gvwr constraints, can be a limitation depending on what you want to haul.

Most of the rollbacks I have seen around here don't have a big problem with rust and corrosion probably because the business owners took care of the investment.  The 17' bed would be fine for my hobby farm needs. I see Ford rollbacks on a regular basis up here in the $4K range (my buddy just bought one) but not the same for the GM stuff.

Have a low mileage LQ4 6.0/4L80E in my barn looking for a new home, so a truck (93-95) with blown diesel and NV4500 would be a great project. Would just be another big toy.

Been keeping my eyes out and haven't seen anything that quite fits the bill, until this one: 1992, 454, auto though...

Surprised to see the steel bed; most of the old HD rollbacks I've seen were aluminum.  So this one will be on the heavier side, but sturdier.

Thanks Richard, I see them from time to time up here and checked out a couple. No hurry on my end...it's just another item on my "don't really need" list.
