I think they were only available as 5.7's and 6.5td's though; and I do believe this one is the diesel.
I think I had updated this info in another thread somewhere else but clearly not here!  Dunno why; but I stumbled across it while hunting the pics for a post elsewhere.  Anyway closer inspection showed the engine in this truck is a TBI 7.4 and someone had been busy at the throttle body, maybe pulling it to steal it from the impound lot (or maybe already swapped with their small block piece), or perhaps it was pulled at the service facility the van was abandoned at prior to being impounded.  It had sat at the lot for so many years its true story is lost.

I looked around but couldn't ID the specific part for that truck...appears that #FG0086 by itself is a generic part?

One example:   https://www.jegs.com/i/Delphi/117/FG0086/10002/-1

3500HD PART NUMBERS / fuel pump module part number
« Last post by jim in n.y. on July 21, 2019, 10:47:37 AM »
Can anyone help me with the correct GM part number for a fuel pump on a 1999 HD with the 7.4L vortec and auxiliary tank. The one that's in there now is a Delphi #FG0086-03. I'm not sure it's the correct one.
       Thanks,Jim.

Recently picked up an older Magline hydraulic trailer....would be great for loading lathes, safes, tools etc. It has a fiberglass 100 gallon tank, pump and 100' fire hose setup that I'm removing. (Dexter wheels and surge brake)

Attached a picture of mine which has the "manual hydraulic pump" on front along with a video of a later unit with electric hydraulic.

Anyone have any experience with one?

Off Topic Items-Politics-Jokes etc / Electric trailer brake fix
« Last post by ED-NY on June 18, 2019, 01:04:32 PM »
You guys may already know this but I just learned that the reason for my electric trailer brakes not working was that the drag magnets were locked up.  They should slide in and out  freely...just remove the clip and clean up the sliding surface (some anti-seize) and you are good to go.

Probably more of a problem up here in snow country?

Forum Help - Suggestions / Re: DRAC programming for 1994 3500HD speedometer
« Last post by ED-NY on June 12, 2019, 11:04:50 PM »
FYI

I used the 0.988770 ratio and my speedo is working just fine, at 55MPH with a GPS my truck is traveling about 53MPH. ;)

Also FYI: Soldered in toggles in my VSSB (DRAC) and set them as:  1010010/1011010

Yep, not surprised at all, and I would hard pass on that cracked bed rollback unless you were going to scrap the bed.  As you've seen once you weld it, it just cracks nearby.  It's been beat to death. :(

Yep  Found a 95 3500hd rollback locally with BBC/NV4500 that I could possibly for $2500..body rough and aluminum bed cracked (middle) on drivers side...someone welded it...but it cracked next to the weld.

You can find quite a few of those old HD rollbacks for around $6K.  Some are beat, some are decent.  (and some are diesel...) A little more money gets you a nice one.  Just watch out for the bed length; many are 19', I believe some are shorter.  Depending on what you load, you find out quickly that 19' can be a bit short, too!  And check the beds for fatigue cracks / welds.
