New from The Netherlands, Europe
« on: April 02, 2015, 08:49:35 AM »
Hi I'm Rick from The Netherlands, Europe. Just bought this 2000 C3500 HD. The 6.5td is broken, the crankshaft bearing is broken and has twisted with the crankshaft (sorry for my bad English, but I'll hope you guys understand  ;) )

So now I'm searching for a good used 6.5 td engine in my country, wich is not easy.

Also looking for a nice flatbed..

Hope to find a lot info about thes trucks here..

Thanks.

Greetings Rick from Holland

Welcome Rick!

No worries on your English; it's fine!  We all understand "broken 6.5TD" here as well. :D

Not sure where you might find a replacement easily, though if you can find someone that will ship you a military surplus engine that might be a good bet.  I don't keep up with the availability of these but a few years back they were very affordable.  A few parts need to be changed out with your existing engine due to the application (military Humvee) but overall the same basic engine.
