2002 Duramax/Allison 4X4 driveline
« on: June 17, 2015, 09:33:01 AM »
Just a heads up..just notified that I won the bid on a 2002 Chevy 3500 dump truck with bad frame. Has about 70K, 4X4, Duramax 6.6, Allison auto and dump bed. Won't pick it up for a couple days...plan on parting it out.

Just took a couple pics...Richard...the only RPO code I recognize was the 373 rear axle. It has the Allison trans, is 4X4, 4 wheel disc brakes. Plan to cut it up promptly...will try to sell the engine, trans and xfer case as one unit..will drive it home in the next day or so.

The big RPO listing I have appears to have been created in January 2003 and the internal name of it is "GM RPO list Nov02" (presuming November 2002), so it may help you decode that SPID label if you care to: www.someotherplace.com/info/RPO.pdf

Of course you could also run it through compnine; too bad it's not free anymore.

No trouble, it was worth the money to get an idea of what gear was in my '91 without pulling the rockwell 3rd member.
