Part number for a manual for a 96 or 97 3500HD?
« on: August 27, 2015, 10:23:46 PM »

Hi all -

I'm hoping someone can give me a tip as to what the manual # might be for a 96 or 97 3500HD.  I own a 97 but Helm.com says they don't have anything.  Talking to a rep on the phone she didn't seem sure whether the 96's GMT96CK or the GMT96CKK would be the right one.

Can someone verify that the GMT9XCKK version is the correct one for the cab-n-chassis 3500HD of 96 or 97?  I don't want to order a $275 service manual if it's gonna be useless.

Thank you in advance!

I looked at both of my original service manuals for my 99 ( the Owners Manual and the Diesel Suppliment Manual) and the Owners Manual had a number on the back all by itself, C9904. The Diesel Supplement number was 15728504. I could not find and numbers that seemed they would be a part # other than those.

I have the service manuals for my '93 they cover all c and k trucks including hd's that year. I don't have one for my '96 so I can't say for sure it covers all models but I would guess it does.

I asked around I found out for '02 at least the hd had a separate manual set, couldn't say for sure on a 97.

1995 was still all inclusive C,K,HD, that is as high as I have on hand currently. I would suspect that to be true until GMT400 was discontinued.
