Got this from the power company I work for. Basically a maybe late 1800's early 1900s version of a high lift jack. Completely made from cast besides one return spring. It would have been used to pull poles out of the ground before they had the luxury of digger trucks. Lifting capacity is basically limited to the size of the bar you are using. Thought maybe people would enjoy this antique!

Looks like an antique railroad jack...I see them occasionally around here (old railroad area).  Here's one on eBay:
