Don't want much do ya Ed!!! :D

I've found a couple like that around here but not with the manual trans. :(

Prices all over the board too.  There's running/driving Vortec big block crew cabs around here for under $2K, and there's beat regular cabs with the small block for $5K.  Nuts

Man when you consider the price and how clean this one looks I'd buy it and just throw a small block in there.  It hits all your other points.

You are correct...but my goal is to have something I can drive home.  That is one nice clean truck if it was closer....probably would jump on it. Heck they even shined up the tires........

Well, according to some, those 6.5td's are great engines and not much goes wrong with 'em...I'm sure you could get it started and home!  It's a short trip.

(ya, ya, I'm being super sarcastic! ... or am I?)

Yep ;)..I did take a quick look around Texas on Craigslist..one thing about Texas...they have some solid trucks and it would be worth flying down there IF I KNEW I COULD MAKE IT BACK with one. The prices are nice down that way also.  Occasionally I do see some deals up here and in Canada...most of the folks around here want 4X4..I don't.

No biggie I have my 94 3500HD done except for the flatbed...don't want to drive it in the winter and wondering what kind of fuel mileage I can expect with 5.7, TPI, NV4500 on a 1995 (135.5") diesel chassis.

Man...too bad you're against the Vortec era trucks; here's a '99 reg cab/flatbed dually, 5.7, manual trans.  Looks REALLY clean though it does have 170K showing and it's got that dealership price on it.

Actually that's exactly what I want..the price/mileage is a concern...but a nice truck.
