16" wheels?
« on: February 14, 2017, 07:10:14 PM »
Will Ford 16" 10 lug wheels fit on an HD? I can't see why not, but since don't have truck nor the rims in front of me, no way for me to find out. What to run these over the 19.5s just for the sake of price. Can't justify over $500 for one tire in 35" flavor...

The wheels are hub centric. GM has a 5.25" center. Ford has a 5.46" center. You could have a centering ring made.

Also the Ford uses 9/16" studs instead of 5/8". Might have to enlarge the holes in the wheel.

I don't know if they will clear the brakes. They barely clear on a one ton and 3500HDs use a slightly larger rotor but the same caliper.

You can run 15" on a 1 ton. I can't find an image for the front brakes on either truck, but I know on the rear of the HDs they use Dana 60 front calipers and stands, and with some grinding 15s fit on them as well. I was looking on rockauto for calipers, and looks like they use the same calipers front and rear, inless I'm reading it wrong, which I may have lol....

3500HD rotors are 13.85". K30 rotors are 12.875".

I am pretty sure they would fit with some grinding. Might even fit without any grinding.

They use the same caliper front and rear which is the same as a front one ton. There is also a dual piston wrecker caliper.

Well with the luck I'm having lately, wouldn't surprise me they won't fit.
