I'm finally setting aside other folks stuff long enough to start on my own for awhile.  Got the old propane service bed off to get ready to trial fit a flat bed for measurements and modifications.  The service bed is 12 ft long with tall boxes down one side that would interfere with a gooseneck and 5th wheel arrangement, so it had to go for now.  It's over built for what I need right now, but it will be a project all to itself.  The replacement flatbed is 11 ft long, lighter and a quick solution to get the truck checked out for towing capability.

That flatbed with tool boxes on the side is unusual but well built.  You have nice quality beds to choose from. How did you set them up on the stands..forklift?

I had to struggle using that 1989 M936A2 military wrecker that you see in a few of the pics.  Fully hydraulic rotating boom.  Cummins 8.3L with Allison 5spd AT.  Just over 380hrs & about 3500 miles on it.  It's been off my property to set some volunteer fire dept tanker beds and that's it.  I use it for a crane.
