Hey Ed, not sure why I didn't see this post sooner but of course the eBay ad is expired/purged.

Was the tank the one on the right in this picture:

And if so, does anybody have a clue as to the RPO code for this?  I can't find it anywhere on my lists, and decoding the VIN for its donor truck doesn't show any RPO related to the tank.

I made a new SPID label for the black '94 3500HD since converting it to Vortec 7.4/etc. and that's the only piece of information I'm missing.  The truck originally had NK7, the square 31 gallon at the rear of the frame.

I'm certain it was the one on the right, they relisted it once.  BTW: that 1992 chassis I'm selling has on on it - it was a diesel/auto from the factory. The cab is gone and didn't have the rpo code sticker in it anyway.

RockAuto has one for $147.89 before any discounts or shipping. Those 5% discounts are common and you may find a free shipping code.

I have the Spectra Premium 22 gallon unit in my truck, from RockAuto. I like it, very nice piece and fit well.
'94 3500-HD, Cummins, Getrag, NP205. Shortend rear frame with a Pickup Bed. Dana 60 front, stock 80 rear.

'03 2500-HD 8.1 and Allison

Ed, if you've got the VIN of that '92 you could try running it through compnine.com's VIN lookup.  I don't think they have the RPO code for the 22 gallon in their records, though.

When I check the VIN for the 1992 C3500 (non-HD) chassis cab that I had, there are no tank codes, or at least none that are recognized as tank codes.

Checking Ed's VIN on the 1992 3500HD, it shows NK7 which is the 31 gallon rear mount tank. :(  My 1994 3500HD has the same one listed, and it in fact did have the large rear-mount square tank that I removed during the conversion.

Note the skinny 23 gallon side tank is designated "EXC NK7" and the large square 31 gallon tank is designated "W/NK7".

Soooooooooooo...looks like as the trucks were being built, the NK7 tank was deleted and this skinny side tank added.  So far there is no RPO code for the skinny side tank.  How can that be?
