New post button?
« on: January 03, 2010, 06:05:31 PM »
Is there a button to click on to read only todays posts? Or the posts since last log on? If not can you add one Ed?

Thanks!
-Robert.

I also used MS Paint to make another header for the top of the page while I was at it.

I'm not sure if it's just me or the forum software, but often when there are new posts, when I enter the forum they're in - none show up.  I end up clicking the forum name from the branch above the empty list so I can see all of the topics in there, and then just pick the new ones.  Maybe a bug?

Hopefully Ed can help you with your problem, and I dont know if this helps but I will give it a shot. If you scroll down to the 'forum stats' section, there is a link that reads 'View the most recent posts on the forum.' If you click that it brings up all the recent posts, no matter the section.

Richard

I started this forum and still get lost with the buttons etc.  FYI merlin5577 picked up on a problem today, I didn't have the permissions set (uniformly) for all of the categories. That has been corrected and hopefully I'll learn the navigation procedures for this specific theme. The theme designer (Runic) is no longer supporting the themes software, he has a beef with SMF (Simple Machines Forum)..so as much as I like this theme...I'm on my own maintaining and trouble shooting software problems.

Keep me posted..most of the problems so far were just a matter of checking permissions blocks.

Ed
