Blower motor switch
« on: July 16, 2011, 03:25:01 PM »
My 91 3500HD was ordered without an A/C, they previous owner installed an aftermarket A/C which I am hoping still works. The blower motor switch went out so  replaced it but cannot for the life of me remember which wires went where on the back of the switch. I have two yellows that are crimped together, a light blue wire, a brown wire and an orange one. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Also, I replaced the instrument cluster in this one, it had the older moonie style gauges. I lucked out and found a cluster out of a late 91 which has the same plug. I have already replaced the fuses in the back of the cluster with a DIP switch and it seems to work good other than the tach jumps. I dont know if this is because of a bad connection or what, I am going to remove all the plugs and check the wires on the back side to make sure they are locked in good as well as smear some dielectric grease on the connections. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on this one as well, Thanks!!
