Looking for a standard cab 3500, gas, 5 spd, 2WD
« on: November 03, 2012, 11:55:06 AM »
Absolutely no hurry, looking for a regular cab 3500 with gas engine, "2WD" and 5 spd. Not too concerned with the engine (have a 350 TPI engine I want to use)..but would like a decent body. Plan to install a flatbed...so the flared bed is not a concern either.

would you consider a 11ft capable chassis cab? bigger frame!

we have a 98 GMC C3500 5.7L 5spd 2wd, we want to keep it, but find it a TBI twin. right now the 98 is down needing head gaskets. dex-cool eroded these away.

Thanks for responding..but I want to stay in the 131" wheelbase range. You may as well list it...someone else would be interested.

Too bad you don't want a squarebody regular cab big block 4 speed!  This one looks decent.  A little pricey for the condition but not too bad.

If I wanted a square body..my son has his 79 Chevy 4X4 with 455 Olds parked behind my barn.  The duallies sell fast around here.  Just bought a 1995 Z28 LT1 convertible this morning...going to install the LT1 driveline in my son's 37 Chevy sedan.

Anyone need F body parts!

Ed, if you're still looking...

http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/4466763313.html

92 model, 454, granny 4 speed kind of puzzles me as a 92 should have the NV4500 - maybe he's confused by the gear indicator?  And a tree fell on the bed.  Perfect for swapping out to a flatbed. :)

Downside - no pics, so I'm assuming regular cab.

Richard

A bit of a drive...been looking on a regular basis around here.  Kinda gave up looking and just this last weekend gathered a bunch of parts I have around here. Installed a 94 cab on my extra 95 3500HD chassis along with a 9' Fruehauf steel flatbed.

I have an extra Crysteel hoist...so I'll make a dump out of it.  Want to install the dump without any modification to the 135.5 plated chassis (bolt on).

Have a few small blocks in the barn and will probably just install a SBC roller with TPI and NV4500.  Won't be a work truck...just a grocery getter!

Looks like a great start.  This was the way to go; you know you'd end up unhappy with less than an HD anyway. ;)
