Still going strong
« on: May 08, 2013, 04:41:08 PM »
Hi all

I have not been on here for a while, I have been busy building my house.
The good news is my 4x4 HD is still going strong here in the UK and hauling some proper heavy loads.
Here are some new pics of my truck next to my old JCB.

Hi Ed

It was the other guy from the uk plasticbadger that had some of your parts, front fender flares if I remember.
He has the black HD.

Mine's still sat going nowhere, too much work and not enough time building the truck!

Yours is looking great Barn. Tell me, how does your's ride? Mine's bouncing off the bump stops on the slightest bump on the front and I've only driven it round the block!

It's a shame out of 100+ ex-MoD trucks I think ours are the only two to have been rebuilt.

The ride is really hard but get a couple of ton on it and its a dream.
I think must carry about 1/2 ton at all times in my lockers that helps a little, also I run the tire pressures lower.
I was going to cut a 1/2 " steel sheet to lay in the back as a bed liner I think that would add a little weight.
