How to remove the head rests?
« on: March 12, 2014, 10:26:17 PM »
Guys, I am trying to figure out how to remove and replace the head rests on the bench seat of my 1995 3500HD.  What am I overlooking?  Thanks for your replies!

In the plastic escutcheons (am I using the right word? :D) around the rods through the headrests, look closely.  There's a small hole on each one.  You'll need to extend the headrest as high as it will go, then once it stops, use a pick to reach in that hole and press - the mechanism that captures the rod will slide over and release.  You may need to do a wiggling style removal a little bit on one rod, a little on the other, before you can slide the headrest all the way out.
